چکیده

Ontology matching is the process of finding semantic correspondences between entities from different ontologies. As an effective solution to linking different heterogeneous ontologies, ontology matching has attracted considerable attentions in recent years. In this paper, we propose a novel graphbased approach to ontology matching problem. Different from previous work, we formulate ontology matching as a random walk process on the association graph constructed from the to-be-matched ontologies. In particular, two variants of the conventional random walk process, namely, AffinityPreserving Random Walk (APRW) and MappingOriented Random Walk (MORW), have been proposed to alleviate the adverse effect of the falsemapping nodes in the association graph and to incorporate the 1-to-1 matching constraints presumed in ontology matching, respectively. Experiments on the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI1) datasets show that our approach achieves a competitive performance when compared with state-of-the-art systems, even though our approach does not utilize any external resources.

An Improved Semantic Schema Matching Approach

Schema matching is a critical step in many applications, such as data warehouse loading, Online Analytical Process (OLAP), Data mining, semantic web [2] and schema integration. This task is defined for finding the semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas. Recently, schema matching has found considerable interest in both research and practice. In this paper, we present a new impr...

Approximate structure preserving semantic matching

Typical ontology matching applications, such as ontology integration, focus on the computation of correspondences holding between the nodes of two graph-like structures, e.g., between concepts in two ontologies. However, for applications such as web service integration, we need to establish whether full graph structures correspond to one another globally, preserving certain structural propertie...

Random walks for feature-preserving mesh denoising

An approach to mesh denoising based on the concept of random walks is examined. The proposed method consists of two stages: face normal filtering, followed by vertex position updating to integrate the denoised face normals in a least-squares manner. Face normal filtering is performed by weighted averaging of normals in a neighbourhood. A novel approach to determining weights is to compute the p...

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...

Structure Preserving Semantic Matching

The most common matching applications, e.g., ontology matching, focus on the computation of the correspondences holding between the nodes of graph structures (e.g., concepts in two ontologies). However there are applications, such as matching of web service descriptions, where matching may need to compute the correspondences holding between the full graph structures and to preserve certain stru...
